Main character:
- Crystal Hayden.
She’s a spunky, free lance paralegal who wants a temporary job at Frost and Company, Attorneys at Law in the Pacific Northwest. The company needs extra assistance in a huge, important case.
- Jordan Frost.
He’ll be Crystal’s boss in the civil case for which Crystal is hired. It’s a delicate case: about a problem in BDSM scene. Jordan became involved in this case because - in addition to his law practice - he was the co-owner of a BDSM club.
Crystal and Jordan shortly met before she was interviewed for the job at Frost’s Company. They had mutual friends in the BDSM lifestyle. Jordan admired the curvy, sexy Crystal Hayden. And secretly she likes him too, but some time ago she had an affair with her then boss and lost her job. Now she never wants to date a boss again. So Crystal hesitates to accept the job but Jordan persuades her with a watertight contract and a very generous salary.
To be useful in the BDSM case Crystal needs to learn a lot more about it. So she visits Jordan’s club and becomes his sub. That’s very difficult for her because of the strict religious upbringing in her youth.
The author, Marie Tuhart, describes with feeling and insight how Crystal (and Jordan) overcome their traumatic emotions from the past and learn to be yourself and trust your own personality.
For me a pleasure to read and review this novel.
