“How often have souls turned from faith to put their trust in their own understanding, abilities and know-how, without even giving a thought to the fact that they have turned from the beloved Lord Jesus and have gone their own way, carrying out their own will, making their own plans, fulfilling their carnal, selfish, ambitions, etc.? This is a daily occurrence in the lives of many Christians. Yet it goes unnoticed, as if it never happens. But when the consequences of these choices come upon them, many accuse the Lord Jesus asking, “Why is this happening to me?” This is darkness over the church.”
