GONSTEAD CHIROPRACTIC

Book 8 presents the Gonstead methods for visualisation, static and motion palpation, fundamental tools that when married to x-ray analysis and the case history, helps the chiropractor determine the primary subluxation. While there are many forms of these tools across the chiropractic profession and its numerous techniques, Gonstead technique has refined these tools for accurate and repeatable assessment in a busy clinical setting. His procedures also assist in the confirmation of listings derived from x-ray analysis. Nerve tracing is also introduced, which is one of chiropractics earliest patient analytical tools that specifically focussed on neurological dysfunction, taught during the period of Gonstead’s chiropractic education in the 1920’s. Nerve tracing helps identify the specific nerve impacted by a subluxation.
