The company that employs Poppy needs one more person for a reality survival show for game design companies only. She is the last one who can be added to the roster as she is a single female beta. She is the employee of last resort.

On the plane ride, she is outed as an Elite omega, and the other extra contestants form into their dark elf skins with big grins. This wasn't going to be weird at all.

The sun, sand, and friendly locals on Wonder Island are great, but Poppy just wants to power through the assignments and get herself back home. The organizers of the games have other ideas. Win or lose, Poppy is getting this over with.
