Doctoral thesis by Tabitha A. Iseger, investigating the heart brain pathway in Major Depressive Disorder. It is found that the involvement of the heart in the depression network may be crucial, not only for the understanding of the underlying mechanisms and pathology, but also to develop and refine adequate treatments.
