Military Cable Layer-Extractors Inventions

In 1966-75, S.I. Fishgal, as a leading designer of heavy equipment for the Soviet Communications Corps, among numerous other novelties described in 500 Soviet patent applications, made his cable layers-extractors inventions for military operations. No known cable layers had the extracting cable ability with servo systems for driverless tracking along and keeping the digging tool at the safe distance from the buried cable. Besides, Fishgal added the vibration cutting action to the known mostly wedging digging tools, which is also applicable to digging and plowing.
