Nickels Versus Dollars

In many instances we are wherever we are in our careers and lives not because of a "grand strategy" rather we sometimes "back into" our careers and lifestyle because of any number of circumstances. Most people stay in their "choice" of careers either because they have little or no options because of family conditions, lack of the necessary energy required to change careers, "shutting off" options because of involvement in their career and any other number of "excuses."



The journey through life is both long and short. It is long if you are in a career which offers minimal if any rewards for your effort and each day becomes a "chore" rather than a challenge. It is at the same time short when you reach middle age and have to ask yourself the questions "What have I accomplished?" If the answer is negative, you must live the rest of your life unfulfilled or yes, change.



This book offers the reader a "clue" in a process of self analysis. In the title of the book Nickels versus Dollars we must define for ourselves, and only for ourselves what is a nickel and what is a dollar? The book is not a panacea; rather it directs us to ask ourselves the hard questions. Hopefully it will be both a useful and enjoyable tool.
