Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company (hereinafter referred to as "petitioner") seeks a writ of prohibition to restrain the Superior Court of the City and County of San Francisco (hereinafter referred to as "respondent") from proceeding to try an action for damages alleged to have resulted when petitioner discontinued telephone services to Edgar J. Sokol (hereinafter referred to as "plaintiff"), the real party in interest.
