Rain Check

On Tuesday Carly Sefton loved her simple, satisfying life. She loved her job, her little old car, and her almost-boyfriend.
By the end of Wednesday she'd lost her job, her little old car died, her almost-boyfriend was headed off to save villages in Africa, and a policeman was camped out at her house.
She couldn't really blame any of it on the rain ... well, except for the policeman.
