Ripping the Sky

Fire seared through the heavens and churned clouds. A smoldering remnant of lands far beyond descended through the nightly veil of all Reddick Marsh had come to know as his world. The crash pierced soft earth in a death convulsion that rattled the forest for kilometers and in the aftermath of the visitor’s destruction, Reddick shook off his wounds. The vigilant watchman and guardian of his Lord’s realm, steeled his scimitar, poised for what may come.
