Publisher Description

This is an action for personal injuries sustained by the plaintiff, Louise Schmit, as a result of an automobile accident on
December 21, 1962, at the intersection of North Thirty-fifth street and West Highland avenue in Milwaukee. The intersection
is controlled by traffic lights on all four corners. The plaintiff was a front-seat passenger in an automobile operated by her husband, Henry Schmit, the impleaded defendant;
their car was moving in a southerly direction on North Thirty-fifth street and came to a stop for a red light at the intersection
with West Highland avenue. The Schmit vehicle was positioned in the left lane for southbound travel on North Thirty-fifth
street and, when the light turned green, began to negotiate a left turn to proceed east onto Highland avenue.
