Sins of the Servants' Wing: Part 3

Things are becoming ever more complicated at Castlebridge Hall. Michaela is deeply entwined in the devious, Machiavellian plots surrounding a pair of valuable paintings. The lecherous Lord Stansbury is eager to lay his grubby paws on the paintings (and Michaela as well), Lord Castlebridge is fighting a stubborn rearguard action to hold onto them and Lady Cynthia weaves her enigmatic webs on her own behalf. In addition Michaela must tread a fine line between the amorous intentions of her fellow maids, the unwelcome proximity of Priscilla Armstrong and her poisonous maid and the perilous attentions of higher authority. Can our heroine navigate these dangerous shoals? Can she, moreover, do so without finding herself over the library punishment stool for a sound thrashing from Mr Greenwood’s cane? (Spoiler alert… no she can’t!)

This, the third and concluding episode of Michaela’s madcap adventures at Castlebridge Hall is as funny and as farcical as ever as our indomitable heroine narrates her sorry tale of misadventure. Whether sneaking about the Hall on clandestine missions, helping herself to the Hall’s possessions, playing hanky panky with some pretty maid or dropping her knickers for the cane, Michaela Francis’ eponymous heroine is witty, irreverent, full of mischief and always entertaining.
