After having read many of her other books, I knew I was in for a treat, and she did deliver!
"Tanner," the first book in Samantha Skye's new series, "The Billionaires of Whispers," is a pleasant contemporary romance that seamlessly blends small-town charm with the allure of billionaire drama.
From the outset, Tanner and Victoria's relationship is marked by witty banter and tension, driven by Tanner's desire to buy the land Victoria inherited. Despite their age gap and initial misunderstandings, the chemistry between them is undeniable. The story contains a lot of humor, suspense, and heartfelt exchanges to keep you engaged. Combine this with drama, tender moments, and jealousy, and you have a gem!
The subplot involving a mysterious threat to Victoria adds an exciting layer of suspense to the narrative, making it more than just a simple love story. Additionally, the strong bond between Tanner and his son Connor and their interactions with other characters in Whispers enrich the story and provide a sense of community and warmth.
Samantha Skye's engaging writing and well-developed characters make this book a perfect read, and as always: I am eagerly looking forward to the next book in this promising series.
