Defendant, Percy Lee King, was indicted together with Theodis Hester and Arthur Murphy in the criminal court of Cook County for the crime of murder on October 13, 1951, of Helen Benson. After trial by the court ending Page 152 July 21, 1952, King was found guilty and sentenced to death. This court reversed and remanded for a new trial. (People v. King, 1 Ill.2d 496.) On the second trial, the jury returned a verdict finding defendant King guilty of murder and fixing his punishment at imprisonment in the penitentiary for life. Judgment was entered on the verdict. Defendant prosecutes writ of error from such judgment.
