The Affair Is All

Angela gazed at the picture on Richard's wall, an image of a young woman with her legs akimbo, revealing all her glory in a distinctly provocative pose.

There was an equal amount of danger and fascination in the picture. What was she getting into herself into?

It was not as though she had played the romance quite straight, not when she had nearly been seduced by Richard's friend Arnold at the party.

And wasn't Arnold into Black Power, as well as being reckoned to be highly dangerous by the Times newspaper, no less?

The affair she was almost unwittingly setting out on looked decidedly risky... but enticing. She wanted to push herself, to experience all that life had to offer.

This was, after all, swinging London. She wanted a part of it, and the glamorous theatre world that Richard and Arnold inhabited.

If it meant going on a helter skelter ride, then so be it.

Air hostesses were not meant to plump for easy options, and she was certainly not going to. As she whizzed between Bombay, New York and Melbourne Australia, the affair just got hotter

...and stranger.

Where was it all going to end, Angela wondered, as quite in spite of herself, she slipped into the deep waters of its attraction....
