names of individual airmen who were assigned the massive task of providing
for Berlin's survival during the Blockade between 1948 and 1949. Intended
as an appendix to Volume 1-"the Berlin Airlift-the First Battle of the Cold
War", it includes the name some 12, 000 men and the units to which they
were assigned. Family members, friends and historians can use this listing
to locate relatives who were involved in this operation
