It was really good!:)
Disappointing protagonist
I wanted to love this book but Olive is such an immature character that it’s not believable that the male lead would be intrigued (let alone her being brilliant, and gorgeous, without knowing it). I get that this is a romcom trope but set in academia? I really, really wanted to look past it. It almost seems misogynistic: she only sees her worth when an older man sees and loves her. If she’d been just a bit more mature and self aware, this novel could be great: fun, sexy, and intelligent. The male lead and other characters were fascinating.
