How do you live with yourself after you have killed somebody?

The day after passing his driving test, Ross Collins is arrested after causing an accident in which another driver dies. Shame and remorse overwhelm him when he learns that the victim was the mother of two young children.

Ross withdraws from the friends and family who try to support him. He can't accept their kindness. He doesn't feel he deserves it.

Desperate to find some path to redemption, he turns to religion. But instead of comfort and certainty, he finds only confusion when he encounters Omega Bee, a brilliant theology student whose faith is crumbling. Their conversations force Ross to ask himself whether he is wasting his time.

With his trial looming, we follow Ross as he struggles to put his shattered life back together.
