The Ruby & The Lonely Children

Presented here are two fairy tales by the German poet and dramatist Friedrich Hebbel (1813-1863). In "The Ruby" a man infatuated with a gem discovers that it contains magical powers, and in "The Lonely Children" two orphans are tempted by Satan to turn against each other.
