A curated collection of magic…and murder.
When a set of bound manuscripts written on magician-made paper is brought to the Glass Library, Sylvia and the professor send the owner away. After all, the library collects books about magic, not containing it.
But the murder of the bookbinder who bound them sees the books returned to the library, along with Gabe in his role as consultant for Scotland Yard. When his investigation uncovers a link to Sylvia’s past, they’re even more determined to find the murderer. But they’re not the only ones searching for answers. Someone has gone to great lengths to find the truth behind the binding of the books.
The hunt for the killer leads them to dark corners of London and unscrupulous players with much to gain by owning the collection. It also leads to the discovery of long-buried secrets, and staggering revelations that shed light on Sylvia’s past.

Wonderful as always
Is the title my brain could conjur up at this awefully early morning, after I could not stop reading. I had to finish, as always, and I am dreading looking at the time. Ok after I finish this review I will check and then hopefully find blisfull sleep. Have to check spelling on blisfull. Also reminding myself this is a review I am writing and not nonsensical thoughts of my brain. Ok, right, LOVE love love CJ Archer. I have been reading her books for many years, huge fan of the Glass novels. And if you have not read these first but have started this spinoff series first, I strongly suggest buying that too because they are magic! And so is this book, truly. I could throw out all the words my tired brain is firing at me, please finish this review so we can start to go to sleep. Pageturner…marvalous read…exellent writing…NO TYPOS…no gramatical errors whatsoever…sweet chemistry between the leading characters (who are played by Chris Evans (also known for Captain America ) and Ealenor Tomlinson (Poldark) - because she could totally portray a bookish and shy heroine in the making. And him, because I always choose him)…last but not least its just wonderful. Oh yes and to share some extra notes and food for thought, I do made a cast for the other characters in this story. And appearing in each book that I read, in my mind. I have casted the actress Natasha Liyonne (Poker face) as Willy Johnson. Jason Mamoa (Aquaman) is Cyclops. I could not think up one for Alex though. Daisy is also difficult. Am leaning towards Jodie Comer (Killing Eve). Ok got to wrap it up now, yes putting away my phone. Still did not look at the time, I am a coward. Just go read the books, all of them.
