An interesting curse and even more interesting romance
This story was once more lovely and very Grimm Academy. You can read all those books out of order, but it's nice to see already familiar characters and it's even nicer to see how the author comes up with creative ways to make curses out of the fairytales we all know. I was even happier when I noticed some famous red shoes were involved in this curse.
I also really loved the romance in this novel. It's clear that these two characters really take the time to get to know each other, to talk, to share secrets and to discover that they can truly trust each other. And even at the end of the novel, where a happily ever after is of course implied, it's still not presented as a forever thing.
In this book there were also very clear consequences to the curse. Of course I truly hope that our heroine will learn to love dancing again, but it really makes sense that it takes time and that her curse has traumatized her. This curse was really nasty after all, especially because there was no direct enemy to defeat.
I can't wait to dive into the next installment.
