Thorned

Lu Roze & her Iowa town are recovering from a huge storm, with trees down and houses demolished. When the road crews pick up debris, a dead body lands at her feet--literally. Lu & her neighbor, Lee Hardy, become embroiled in the mystery of who killed the man, why he was killed, where he was killed & why he was dumped on Lu's doorstep.
Lu & Hardy discover they have much in common including a strong mutual attraction. If she can learn to trust him & he can tell her the legal problems he's tangled up in, they might have a chance at a future together--if they can escape being killed in the process.
