When cynical arcade museum curator Idris Jovan is approached with a bizarre proposal from rooftop farmer Kiana Lévêque - to pose as her boyfriend in exchange for café credits - he reluctantly agrees. It's just business: she needs to counter a political smear campaign, he needs coffee. Simple transaction.

But as they craft their elaborate charade, visiting each other's worlds and learning to convincingly play the part of a loving couple, the lines between pretense and reality blur. When they uncover corruption threatening both their livelihoods, their fake relationship becomes a real partnership as they investigate a powerful developer's shady dealings.

Idris, who'd built walls of circuits and nostalgia to protect his wounded heart, finds himself drawn to Kiana's infectious optimism. Meanwhile, Kiana discovers unexpected depth in the grumpy arcade curator who's surprisingly good at playing her devoted boyfriend.
