Water's Phases

Water and Mercury are pen-pals. Water lives in the north where it is cold and Mercury lives in the south where it is hot. After a long time of being pen-pals, they decide to travel half way to meet each other. But disaster strikes at the train station! Differences in temperature make bizarre things happen. Water changes phases and doesn't look like himself anymore. Will Water and Mercury ever meet
