This board book focuses on familiar figures in babies' immediate surroundings. Harris offers a call-and-response structure as diverse babies and caregivers are seen engaging with one another: "Who? Who's that? Mama! That's who!" The Mama walks with her baby across a blue rug, holding her by the hands. Elsewhere, a baby gets cozy with a big yellow dog and a pair of twins read with Grampa. Rosenberg renders the cast of friendly, quirky family members in splashy shades of salmon pink and turquoise. All of the babies (and animals) are featured on a final spread: "Sweet babies! Nice babies! That's who!" Ages up to 3.
