Emma Wallace created a great life for herself in New York. But no matter how hard she's worked, what she's accomplished, or how much she only relies on herself, she always wanted to know if her biological family regretted giving her up. If they thought about her. If they wondered where she was and who she’d become. When a private investigator tracks down her biological father and sister, Emma jumps on a plane to Montana in hopes of finding both answers and closure.



Otto Prescott has a lot on his plate. His ex-wife and their young daughter moved to Montana while he'd been deployed. After retiring from the military he followed them. Now he's starting a new job and trying to rebuild a relationship with his child. He has no time for romance, especially with the beautiful woman who'd gotten her rental car stuck in a ditch. But a one off date couldn't hurt, until he discovers he'd hooked up with the boss's long lost daughter.



Both have more important relationships to work on but neither can resist the magnetic pull they have to each other. And no matter how much Otto tries to help, Emma's a fish out of water on the ranch making it hard to fit in with her biological family. When a dream job lands in Emma's lap she's forced to choose between returning to New York and the life she built on her own or starting over Montana with the man she's fallen in love with. If only the scars from being given up as a child didn't run so deep.
