Year One offers a glimpse into life after leaving a safe, salaried, career in Silicon Valley in order to pursue my passion for trading stocks. This book shares the ups, downs, and more during the first year trading full-time. 


This is not a get rich quick book. Quite the contrary. This book is about pursuing passion, even if the road to success is rough and progress is slower than desired. 


In this book, you will read about my family warning me to stay away from the stock market and me politely ignoring them, how I educated myself for a risky new endeavor, psychology in trading, controlling emotions, creating trading routines and rules, and overcoming failure. I share my self-doubts, trial and error, and eventual path to consistency and profitability. 


While this book was written from the perspective of a stock trader, the experiences apply to anybody who embarks on a new career or venture or simply finds themselves anxious to succeed. May it prove helpful on your own journey.
