As the dark nights draw in, secrets hide in the shadows…
When Betsy Strong’s mother marries a cruel man, her happy family life is shattered, and Betsy is forced to flee.
Seeking refuge with her godmother at her isolated Yorkshire cottage, she meets Linda — a runaway with secrets she won’t share.
But Betsy’s new life is far from a safe haven. She begins to suspect that no one in her new life are what they seem to be, and those who should protect her, may be putting her in harm’s way.
Betsy must uncover the truth — before the shadows close in for good.
