But being so far away from her only family—her New Orleans-based sister Winter—has left Autumn feeling solitary and isolated with no time to form relationships.

Desperate to be at the birth of Winter's third child, she is frustrated when her flight to New Orleans is canceled because of a storm. Anxiety turns to relief when she is rescued by her agent, Will, who happens to be awaiting another flight.
