Amelia Earhart believed a woman could do anything a man could. She encouraged women to follow their dreams. When Amelia first saw an airplane, she was not impressed. A few years later, she knew she had to fly. Amelia set many flying records. Her dream was to be the first person to fly around the world along the equator.
In 1937, she set off on her dream.
