An Unholy Fellowship

1135. Christmas and Epiphany are past and the dark days of mid-winter have settled over Ryd Lliw, a small manor estate located in the wilds of southern Wales. 

Away from the priory, the place he had lived since his youth, Brother Rhonwellt adapts to his new duties as priest at Saint Tysilio's aided by Brother Ciaran. The challenge is living this close to Sir Tristan, the knight he first loved as a lad––the man he loves still. 

In the cold, gray light of dawn, a crone brings a small child to the safety of Saint Tysilio's, her final act. With the old woman dead and the child too young to tell their story, their identities remain a mystery. 

They are not the only strangers to arrive at Ryd Lliw. A young brother and sister with their own stories arrive just ahead of two rich and powerful men seeking a murderer. 

Tragedy arrives with the discovery of a caravan, all the travelers slaughtered and everything of value stolen. To keep from being fined for murders committed on his demesne, Tristan hunts down the killers and brings them back to be tried and hung. But, who is the tight-lipped young woman Tristan captured with the band of highwaymen?

Any outsiders arriving at Ryd Lliw this time of year could prove a blessed diversion for this sleepy village. But, this many strangers, all carrying secrets, guarantee this will be anything but a sleepy winter.
