Baba Faqir Chand

A Pictorial Glimpse of His Spiritual Philosophy

Publisher Description

Baba Faqir Chand (1886-1981) was a famous Master of surat shabd yoga who argued that all gurus of whatever stripe were ignorant about the real cause of the miracles and visions attributed to them. And because of this ignorance (coupled with what Freud called "transference"), the guru gained power, attention, and devotion from disciples who incorrectly imputed omniscience and omnipresence upon such teachers, even though they had neither. This is the first pictorial book on Faqir Chand's radical philosophy which contains a judicious selection of his original writings and an array of unpublished personal photographs.
