Publisher Description

This book is called Baptisms (plural) in the Scriptures because it is not always remembered that in addition to ‘baptism in water’ and ‘baptism by the Spirit’, there are other baptisms spoken of in the Bible.

When considering ‘baptism’, people’s thoughts tend to concentrate on the most obvious, i.e. water and Spirit, rather than the lesser known aspects of baptism such as “baptism into (Christ’s) death” (Romans 6:3) and being “baptised into one body” etc. And then there is that enigmatic expression, “baptised on behalf of the dead” (1 Corinthians 15:29). All these, and others, are considered in this publication and looked at in their biblical setting.
