When an irreplaceable rug disappear from the home of a Navajo weaver, James Pinter agrees to help tribal police track it down. As James begins to investigate the case, he discovers there might be more behind the theft than just the desire for cash.

Weaving Yei rugs is seen as spiritually taboo, even dangerous. The rug in question was woven by an infamous weaver and medicine man. A man wrapped in legend and lore who was believed to hold supernatural powers.

James is narrowing his suspects when one shows up dead, revealing yet another secret hidden within the missing textile. As generations of deceit and vengeance begin to unravel, James suspects that retribution from the most powerful crime family on the reservation could prove swifter and harsher than anything from the spirit world.
