F Street in Love – What's it About

F Street In Love is an erotic "magic" memoir and an epic tale of the search by Clyde Desmond, the protagonist, for love and success as part of the Baby Boomer generation in America during the early seventies through the late eighties told through 278 stories that follow Clyde on his ambitious journey from suburban Connecticut, through New York City and metropolitan New York, to Boston and Washington, DC. His explorations take him to discovering his mother's family's origins coming from England to Boston in 1635, and his great grandfather's escape from Ireland to Boston in the wake of the Irish Potato famine of 1847-48. He traces the salient details of his parent's lives intertwined with describing in greater detail his relationship, his falling in love, love life and heartbreaks with three women at separate times and places: an aspiring model, a medical school applicant and a college student turned law student. Clyde actively supports his girlfriends' quest for success and aims to please them in bed.
Follow Clyde on his three-month adventure through Europe, his love connection in Italy, his exploration of the art and architecture at the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican Museum and St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, and in Paris, including the Louvre Museum. Join him in America along the Atlantic seaboard, down to Florida, through the American Heartland out to California, and at Woodstock. Read his stories about music including Rock 'n Roll, Altamont, Motown, the British Invasion, Disco and Punk Rock, and the dance music of 1984.
Through his brother Bobby, Clyde meets Beverly Anne Johnson in 1965 and she remains close to him until tragedy strikes. Through her Clyde is exposed to racism through the eyes of a Black woman and that is reflected in numerous stories in the book.
Other stories are about 6o's Idealism, the Vietnam War, Religion on the personal level, Drugs & Alcohol; Harvard and the impact of the Titanic; and the Oktoberfest in Mu
