She's done pining after her doctor boss. She's ready to let loose and have fun, until a girls' trip gone wrong ends with her staying in her boss's family's home.
Dr. Miles Claiborne has built a wall between himself and his feelings for the nurse he hired six years ago. He refuses to cross that imaginary line. But the universe seems to be testing his resolve when she ends up at his family's home while he's on vacation.
Now, these two friends with feelings for each other are stuck together for a week. Can they keep each other in the friend zone, or will these two opposites find out that they may just be more than the perfect person to fix the other's problems, they might just be each other's happily ever after?

Not the best of hers
I have read all of the Bannekar stories starting with Chronicles of a Hot Mess, which I loved. While this story brought back characters and references from the previous novels, i felt so incredibly let down at the end. There is an HEA, but the conflict - over six years, mind you - is worse than contrived. The issue, which shouldn’t really be an issue, seems ridiculous considering the access to health care these characters have as well as their network. And any fights or misunderstandings they have issues seems like it comes from outside their personalities. A nurse having an issue with a doctor who wants to see his patient? A nurse who doesn’t see childhood trauma rearing its ugly head? Puhleez!
And, what, a makeover, only for the women mind you, fixes everything? That’s a great lesson.
It felt like the author just wanted to finish the book and series. I’m so disappointed because I’ve been waiting forever for this.
