IT'S YOUR HEART

Students often learn the structure and function of organs in isolation, using a ‘divide and conquer’ approach to anatomy and physiology. Unfortunately, this approach makes it nearly impossible for them to understand and appreciate how organ systems must be integrated for life to be maintained.  As a way to encourage students to envision how the cardiovascular and nervous systems interact, a group of Apple Distinguished Educators in Georgia and personnel at the University of Georgia collaborated to create this interactive book. We hope students working through this book will find it engaging, informative and helpful as they begin to see how their bodies function and respond to different stimuli.
