Appeal from the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana Leslie Dale Martin, sentenced to death in Louisiana state court for first degree murder, appeals the denial of his habeas application, the district court having granted a Certificate of Appealability (COA) on two interrelated claims regarding the testimony of the State's key witness concerning Martin's committing the murder in connection with aggravated rape: ineffective assistance of counsel and a Brady claim.
