C. I. Scofield wrote many books advancing thought on Christian subjects, and was particularly important for informing Christian believers of dispensationalism. After an early life spent in Army service and as a lawyer, Scofield undertook his spiritual journey by spending decades preaching. He also wrote his famous reference Bible, and founded the Central American Mission.
