The Long Waiting

When all seems lost and our hope is dwindling, we must trust in the Lord to deliver us through our period of waiting. As we wait for answers from the Lord, we learn to keep our faith in a God that is faithful, and when we cannot see His hand working, we learn to always trust His loving heart.


In The Long Waiting, Ann Tucker discusses stories from the historical days of the Bible, along with stories of individuals from the current day, where biblical characters have endured times of praying and find themselves in a period of waiting. Even when the days and nights seem unending, still they wait, drawing strength from the words of Jesus when He said, “Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world” (Matthew 28:20). Although we cannot always see Him working, He never leaves us alone.
