This is a lot simpler than that, it is not going to be easy, but it will give you, the average person, a chance to see another year or many. This guide thinks outside the box. We will explain where to find guns and ammunition, even in the UK, without risking your life to obtain them. Where to buy antibiotics legally without a prescription. How to buy and own weapons that need no licence to own them, just an age check, and how to buy them legally. Why drinking water from a stream, even if boiled, may kill you or make you ill. How to choose a safe place to live and how to easily defend it. How to become invisible to people that may have hostile intentions. Make a fire to cook your food without being seen, with no smoke, no visible flame, and reduced smell. Information on things you did not even know you needed.

It is not about what caused the world to go to shit; it is all about surviving it when the shit hits the fan (SHTF). A Zombie apocalypse is unlikely; it is more likely to be a Pandemic, The financial system collapsing, EMP, war of some sort, cyber warfare causing failure of power, water, internet, phones and so on, terrorism, even an alien invasion, but it does not matter the cause. In the 14th century, over 80% of “the then-modern world” was wiped out by the black death. That was half the world’s whole population, some say 60% or more, gone in just a matter of years. Think how it would have spread in today's interconnected world, oh, a bit like COVID maybe.

If you don’t think law and order would break down fast, just look at the unrest, riots, civil disobedience across the world COVID has sparked off. The amount of money the world is printing. The stock market will crash soon; the bubble is too big. What happens when these companies go bust? They owe the banks trillions; they can’t print much more money, or it would cause hyperinflation. Then who picks up the bill? Is joe public going to stomach another bout of austerity? And this is just one scenario.

Suppose something drastically reduces the population, and you are a survivor of whatever it is. In that case, your chance of living more than 3 months is under 50%. Why, you ask? Because that is how long you have before the resources would run out. Stronger people than you will hoard everything they can find or kill to steal it.

The biggest thing to fear is fear itself. Like you, people want to survive, but they are scared. Even people you know would become defensive, hoarding what they have and defending it with whatever it takes. That makes them dangerous to you and your family. Trust will go out the window in a lot of cases. Then envy sets in if you have something they need to keep their family alive, but then it is too late to leave the city. Then, EVERYONE would be your problem; they are desperate, and most would kill to get it.

The average person would like at least one meal a day, say that it consists of 3 ingredients. For argument’s sake, these ingredients were all in tins; you would need more than 1000 tins of food to live for just one year. That is per person; if you have a family, what then? How would you carry it, store it safely, and come to that cook it? Once the shops are empty, where will the survivors get food? The answer is, take yours.

Where can YOU get food? … There are many answers to this. Here is just a straightforward example. Most people that came across a chicken would kill and eat it; it may last them 2 or even 3 meals; most would eat it in one day, but then it will be gone. A sensible person would catch it, put it in a pen with plenty of greenery, build a house for it, to keep it safe. Why, you ask? Because a chicken, even one you do not feed, as long as it can catch insects in the grass, scratch grub or other invertebrates from the soil, has water, has a certain amount of greenery to eat, and feels safe; will lay an egg a day. A person could live on an egg a day at a pinch with water and some wild veg or fruit thrown in.
