Jade is nursing a broken heart, Chloe is determined to fix it, and I'm trying to keep the rest of us from turning mortal life into an extinction-level learning experience. Then Ash hands us shiny new licenses forged in Hell and the keys to a magically enhanced car. Obviously, we decide to drive.

But our first road trip ends with a dead jogger, a missing corpse, and a mysterious new family hiding more secrets than their creepy mansion can hold. When one of my friends disappears, our harmless snooping drops us into an ancient feud between two kinds of vampires—and puts every unsuspecting person in Angel Bay on the menu.

Now we've got to rescue our friend, stop a supernatural war, and save the town before a dangerously seductive party becomes an all-you-can-eat buffet. Our knowledge of vampires comes mostly from steamy novels, but how hard can it be?

We're human by birth, angelic by upbringing, and disasters by nature. What could possibly go wrong?
