A swoony small-town romance that will set your heart racing.
I've been running from the past for most of my life, hiding in a small town and hoping no one discovers who I truly am. Which was working just fine until my brother moved his best friend onto our property.
Now, I'm stuck trying to avoid the brooding billionaire's probing questions and piercing stares. And it doesn't help that I almost killed him the first time we met. Oops.
But I can’t ignore him forever. And when all my lies come crashing down, it's Linc who steps in to shield me.
Only, it's not just my safety at risk—it's my heart. Because when Linc touches me, I lose all sense.
We might be building a life together. But Linc and I both have secrets and it’s only a matter of time until the forces from our pasts come back to tear everything apart. Forever.

My favourite of the series yet. So good!
I love the small town of Sparrow Falls, and the family that Arden is fostered into is filled with larger-than-life characters. It’s always lovely to see couples from earlier books making appearances in later ones in the series, and we get to enjoy them all. The family group chats are some of my favourite bits to read. They bring light and humour to balance out the suspense and the heavy. And the chat names are hilarious.
Arden is so guarded, and for good reason, but Lincoln is determined to break through her fortress-like walls. He’s gentle yet firm, and when circumstances call for someone to stay with her, he volunteers as tribute. But it’s not a one-bed situation. It’s a man learning what frightens a woman and doing everything he can to equip her with the tools to manage that fear. He’s a gentleman but shows his alpha side when necessary.
Samantha does an incredible job of putting us in Arden’s head. We get to understand her secrets through Samantha’s amazing voice acting. Sebastian was the perfect choice for Linc—an older guy who’s captivated by the woman who loves angry music! This is a fantastic audiobook.
The storyline keeps you wanting more, and in true Catherine style, you’ll be guessing that every mutha trucka in this book is the psch0 who’s st@lking Arden. I know I guessed wrong, and I’ve now become suspicious of literally everyone except Lolli because who could suspect the pha!!ic diamond artist of anything other than spiking the brownies?!
Run, don’t walk to get your hands on this amazing small-town, romantic suspense story.
