Another banger from Lani.
Ruthie is Sawyer from Book 7’s ex-cellmate. She has walls like a fortress around her and doesn’t believe that a man can love her or that she needs one. Sterling is a military man totally fixated on Ruthie. He’s willing to put in the work and play the long game.
This is a slow picking away at her walls to bury deep in her heart. I loved these two and the heat they brought when they came together. They were electric!
As always, Lidia and Mason did a fantastic job with these characters. They have an easy rhythm, and the chemistry and tension they create are palpable.
