Publisher Description

Christmas is over. And so is my marriage…

Twenty years of marriage. Twenty years of ignored red flags. And one very smug ex-girlfriend.

He seemed perfect at first. Don’t they always? I fell fast, and I fell hard. So when I discovered his secret double life, suddenly all those years of feeling paranoid made sense.

I had two options (well three, if you count me and my best friend with two spades and a suspicious willingness to serve hard time):

1. Stay for the kids

2. Sacrifice my sanity to divorce the b*stard

The Secret Divorcée is my unfiltered story of falling for a red flag, betrayal, bad decisions, and how to turn heartbreak into hilarity – fuelled by wine and a side hustle my mother must never, ever find out about.

About the author

The author of The Secret Divorcée prefers to remain anonymous—mostly to avoid awkward school runs, nosy neighbours, and her ex-husband’s solicitor. After discovering her husband’s affair, she swapped dinner parties for working on dial-up sex chat lines (don’t judge—solicitors don’t come cheap), hit emotional rock bottom, and then slowly, defiantly, rebuilt her life.

Told through sharp, hilarious diary entries, her journey from chaos to a kind of clarity is for anyone who's ever ugly-cried into a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, wondered how they’d survive heartbreak, or Googled 'how to kill him and get away with it'.

She’s not famous, not perfect, and definitely not done yet. But she’s standing, she’s laughing—and she’s writing it all down so you don’t have to feel alone.
