About the author
Sarah A. Parker is an international bestselling author who grew up on a farm in New Zealand, where she spent her days getting lost amongst the rolling pasture, building forts in the hedge, climbing trees, and exploring the forest pathways – making up elaborate stories that never lost their grip on her. Sarah A. Parker has created a unique poetic narrative, filling it with Gods, mythical creatures, and monsters on the backdrop of an emotional love story. Using multiple viewpoints, Sarah pushes our characters into interesting territories, cementing the notion that there are bigger forces at play in the world.
The writing, although beautiful, was both a pro and a con. When images flickered to life inside my head like the flames from Ignos, the God of Fire, Sarah would continue her descriptive prose, losing me in an underground tunnel created by Bulder, the God of Ground, himself.
Dragon series number four, and novel 21 read this year, Sarah was able to grab my attention and hold it long enough to warrant its star reading. Coupled with the beautiful cover and chapter art, ‘When the Moon Hatched,’ ended as a slow burn dark fairytale that refused to give away all its secrets even into those final pages.
A 4 ✨ read, although the ending left much to be desired. 🌶️
