IT was mid-afternoon when Brenda was woken by the barn door sliding open. She startled for a moment, then remembered where she was and relaxed. This was what she was supposed to be doing with her life. She was becoming a cow.

It was Ted who had opened the door and he got right to work, leading the cows one by one to the milking stands where he strapped them in, arranged their artificially large udders through the frame, hooked up the suction tubes and turned on the pump. Brenda couldn’t comprehend the order in which Ted went about milking them, and he was halfway through the process when John appeared, this time with Melinda at his side. The house cow wore a shirt and loose fitting skirt, but the shirt was unbuttoned all the way to the bottom and it was obvious she wasn’t wearing a bra underneath.

“Hook her up,” John ordered his assistance.

“Aw, boss, you’re messing up how I’ve arranged everything.”

“Do it,” John ordered, “or you won’t get to have the new one. Besides, Melinda here’s been a bad girl and needs a little discipline this afternoon.”

Judging by the look on Melinda’s face she was eager for the discipline she was about to endure. She dropped her shirt to the barn floor and Ted helped her into the milking stand. She gasped with delight when he switched on the pump for the suction tubes that grabbed onto her started drawing out her milk right away.
