A Year in the Life: Peace Corps, Kazakhstan

From 2002 to 2003, Kevin Marousek traveled from the United States to Kazakhstan to become a Peace Corps Volunteer. Along the way, he had experiences ranging from unrequited love to a shoot-out against the local mafia. He visited a city carved entirely out of ice, and he ate pizza with a fried egg on top. He taught children and adults, and they taught him. Forget about Borat - this is the real Kazakhstan, from small villages to the big cities.
