"Cardigan" begins in the New York of 1774. Michael Cardigan, the protagonist, is only 16 years old and is in love with a classmate, Felicity. As the book progresses, Cardigan finds himself fighting against the Crown during the Revolutionary War in Broadalbin, as he is sent to stop an Indian war planned by Walter Buttler, who wants to turn the Indians against the rebels. Our hero will also fight for Felicity's love.
