Chasing Shadows

Private investigators Ed Case and Bob Brown, are hired to find Ryan Dickens, who has been identified as the sole beneficiary of substantial legacy from a distant relative. However, Dickens has been missing for over three weeks, though he often goes deep undercover, sometimes for weeks. Dickens is a freelance investigative journalist, specialising in conspiracy theories, UFO sightings and the occult.

Dickens' house has been professionally and thoroughly ransacked, but by whom, and what were they looking for? The absence of a body would suggest Dickens is still alive, but Ed and Bob wonder what he has got himself involved in and fear for his safety. Their only tenuous clue to his whereabouts is something he said when he was drunk, "Anthony isn't who he seems".

As the case slowly progresses, Ed and Bob find themselves spending more time looking for archaeologist, Professor Brian Mobray and his daughter Helen. They believe the Mobrays will lead them to Ryan Dickens, as the pair's abduction and the disappearance of an ancient ceremonial dagger, seem to be linked. They just need to find out how.
